People’s Daily Online, Qinzhou, November 17 — On November 16, “Zhonggu Nanning”, China’s largest domestic trade container ship, made its maiden call at Beibu Gulf Port and berthed steadily at Berth No. 5 of the Beibu Gulf International Container Terminal, injecting strong momentum into the steadily rising container throughput of Beibu Gulf Port.

“Zhonggu Nanning” belongs to the “4,600 TEU largest domestic trade container ship” series newly built by Zhonggu Shipping Group. With an overall length of 228 m, a moulded breadth of 40 m and a maximum deadweight of 87,600 tons, it can load 4,636 standard containers in a single voyage, including 360 forty-foot reefer containers, and mainly serves the Beibu Gulf Port — Rizhao — Xiamen route.

To keep pace with the rapid development of the new western land-sea corridor and the constantly growing flow of cargo and vessels, the Qinzhou Maritime Safety Administration launched the “city-wide processing” of maritime administrative services and drew on “Internet + government services” to improve service efficiency. Maritime administrative service items can now be handled at any window, at a single window, nearby, faster and with no difference in treatment. The administration also provides “one-to-one” services for container ships, and uses the Guangxi Maritime intelligent supervision system for end-to-end remote tracking and real-time monitoring of inbound and berthing operations.

Since the beginning of this year, the Qinzhou Maritime Safety Administration has handled the safe entry and departure of more than 2,000 large vessels, ensuring that port calls remain efficient, fast and safe.
