On February 20, the Modaomen Water Border Police Station of the Zhongshan Border Defense Detachment provided free one-stop door-to-door ship annual inspection services for more than 80 fishermen in its jurisdiction, which was highly praised by local fishermen.
It is understood that the jurisdiction of the Modaomen Water Border Police Station has a large number of vessels and fishermen. To deliver genuinely convenient services, the Zhongshan border officers launched a one-stop annual inspection service station and set up “mobile ship annual inspection service points” at places where people gather, such as villages, wharves and fishing port vessel management stations.
The border officers went aboard vessels, went down to fishing rafts, walked onto tidal flats, visited households in villages and went deep into fishing ports and wharves to handle annual inspection procedures for fishermen, and renewed documents such as the “Household Register of Vessels Going to Sea” and the “Certificate for Seafarers Going to Sea”, bringing policing services forward and closer to the people.
At the same time, they distributed leaflets to fishermen, explained relevant laws, regulations, policies and safety production knowledge, and educated and guided fishermen to raise safety awareness and actively carry out self-rescue and mutual rescue.
